CBE Requirements
The Certified Bankability Expert (CBE) designation is awarded to individuals who meet the rigorous standards of expertise, integrity, and professional achievement in the field of income-producing property management. The following standards outline the requirements for certification.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must demonstrate a history of ethical behavior and integrity in their professional and personal lives.
- Applicants are required to provide at least three professional references who can attest to their good moral character.
- Applicants must own or manage at least ten (10) properly structured income-producing properties.
- Properties must be verifiable and provide consistent income.
- Applicants must submit detailed property portfolios, including property addresses, income statements, and proof of ownership or management.
- Applicants must have a credit score of at least 700.
- Applicants are required to provide a recent credit report from a recognized credit reporting agency.
- The credit report must show no significant delinquencies, bankruptcies, or foreclosures within the past five years.

Supporting Documentation
Submit the required documentation to verify eligibility, including:

Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable application fee of $500.
Certification Maintenance:
Continuing Education
Complete at least 20 hours of continuing education in income property management or related fields every two years.
Annual Certification Fee
Pay an annual certification fee of $200.
